Imported Fire Ant Community of Practice is a virtual community of more than 200 fire ant specialists and Extension professionals from across the U.S.

The Fire Ants Community of Practice is a virtual community lead by Extension professionals from across the country. It includes over 200 members from land-grant universities and other agencies, including USDA APHIS, USDA ARS, and state and county governments.

The goal of the Imported Fire Ants Community of Practice is to help you better understand the history, biology and behavior of fire ants, and to provide you with tools to help manage your fire ant problems in an environmentally and economically sound way. The Fire Ant team’s ongoing collaborative work will provide consumers a source of reliable, up-to-date information from a vast knowledge base of science-based, peer reviewed materials.

This site provides online learning lessons, videos, publications, frequently asked questions, and interactive Decision Modules to help you customize the resources according to your situation.
