About Ant Pests Community

The Ant Pest Community of Practice is a virtual community lead by Extension professionals from across the country. It includes members from land-grant universities and other agencies, including USDA APHIS, USDA ARS, and state and county governments.

The goal of the Ant Pest Community of Practice is to help you better understand the history, biology and behavior of the various ant species, and to provide you with tools to help manage your ant pest problems in an environmentally and economically sound way.

The Ant Pest team’s ongoing collaborative work will provide consumers a source of reliable, up-to-date information from a vast knowledge base of science-based, peer reviewed materials. We hope you enjoy learning about imported fire ants and find this site useful. We look forward to your feedback
